As August comes to a close, we find ourselves 3 weeks into our new adventure. They've passed quickly. Striking out into a new country without jobs or a place is a new kind of scary for us. Through a friend's friends' generosity, a few strokes of good fortune, and a welcoming New Zealand culture, we're doing alright so far. Blocks from the Pacific Ocean with a beautiful library, pier, and beaches to take in the rolling water, we feel quite blessed by our setting for the year ahead. Our heads have been down in hot pursuit of working/living opportunities for the most part, but this weekend and last have provided a few chances to catch our breath and take in our new surroundings. Words have been slow in coming, so pictures will serve in their place.
